What's next?

So with the excitement, or otherwise, of the Euro 2020/21 album and some dipping a toe into the Copa America what album are you looking forward to collecting next? All your Premier League, Calciatori, La Liga etc come out towards the end of the year so anything in between or wait for those?

I'm only just dipping my toe in the water of collecting stickers as an adult, starting with the Premier League 21 album and now collecting the Euro 2020 and Copa America books.

Would have liked to have done the Italian one last year, but didn't know about the community that could help with swapping. Looking forward to trying something different next.

La Liga is out early, maybe even in late July (with plenty of update editions).

Many other league albums, plus UCL, are out around September/October, besides trading cards like Adrenalyn or Match Attax, so there's definitely options till December.

I'll collect the usual portuguese league and UCL. EPL would be nice too, but UK being a non-EU country now is a major obstacle to me. Possibly I'll try to find some cheap deals, mostly this one Euro I avoided as much as possible (stickers too expensive for a boring album).

@RamsStickerFan I'd absolutely recommend the Italian one for the forthcoming season, it's like the Premier League album but with bells on.

@dantzig Didn't know about the early La Liga so that's good. Not always easy to get here but I'll definitely give that a go this season. Can I ask where you get your Portuguese goodies from?

@Suisse Why not indeed.

Why not an album Road to Qatar 2022 ? Like 2014 and 2018 .
That one will probably be just in February or March, when there's not much football stickers on sale... But by then, qualifiers are over, so there's not much to "Road"... But if they release still in qualifiers, then it'll be overlapping with league albums... Not sure how Panini will figure this out.

Good luck with spanish stuff, not easy to complete it with new stickers coming out every month.

Portuguese goodies I buy from nearby stores.

For those with very deep pockets there is Panini Prizm La Liga "Blockchain", advertised on the Panini UK site which directs you to Panini USA if you click on the more info button. The product may already have been out for a bit so not really one to look forward to in the coming stickerless summer months. On the Panini USA site you can also see Panini's auctions of rare individual cards which they no longer put in packets.

I think I will wait until the update sets are released before doing this one….it was a right pain doing last seasons from boxes.

I never did spanish league sets exactly because of the constant updates every month... but a friend of mine gave the advice that if I ever did, it's better to buy a box from the first edition, then a box from last edition.

Looking forward to the PL sticker album. I thought Panini did a fantastic job since they took over 2 years ago.

Other than that, am debating if I should do Calciatori this season. Not finished the last 2 seasons especially the Il Film C section that is hard to find or swap for. 19/20 am missing 25 stickers and 20/21 am still 59 short + Update tin.

The Topps CL album will be the same as the past 3 years unless Topps get their fingers out of their arses to produce something worthwhile.

Excellent bit of advice that. I'll hopefully be over in Spain in September and at El Rastro in Madrid they have lots of Panini traders so it's a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

You can always order those missing stickers for the Calciatori here: International Panini

It doesn't matter if Panini have the license or not they will still produce a better album than Topps will do for their CL one.

I know some will disagree but the FIFA365 series has been a real fun collection to do for the past 5 years.

Oh...so Panini did not get back the license for UCL :(
That was known some months ago and I suppose you won't be happy to know next Euro will also be Topps:

It's getting a bit boring though... first was definitely epic, second was nice with the extra sections along the album, but then I can't recall one that made me very happy to collect... reducing the number of teams was also not good and being portuguese, not having a single portuguese team is a minus.

Nice thread all, I was thinking the same over the past few days without realising you have this thread going already (I've been away from the forum as I'm doing up my house and I'm fed up of it now!)

Yeah I think I'm done with doing ESTE collections the proper way going forward as it is just too hard to collect which is a shame. The missing stickers service was a godsend but now we can only get access to 3 old collections and not the new ones.

I'm hoping Amazon continue to sell Foot boxes here in UK as that has been great with low prices and free shipping from the continent. In fact I have many spares if anyone needs anything for Foot 21. Just PM as I have 500-600 spares!

I'll definitely do Italian Calciatori as that is the ultimate collection and fairly easy to do especially as we have access to missing stickers and good friends on this site to trade with.

The rookies nonsense has made it harder for collectors like me that are happy to start a collection 2-3 years late - instead I have to rapidly open them in case the missing stickers service gets robbed for a new player that has yet to make an appearance! See Foot 21, terrible from sellers speculating already with silly prices.

Yes of course, the PL album I will do that too and there must of been so many 100 packet boxes not sold as we're seeing them go for £30 in retailers.

@LeicesterRob Reading that message just cost me 4 quid and I couldn't be happier. Love looking at albums from overseas and the French Foot album and five packets was available for under a fiver on Amazon including postage so that's put a spring in the old step. Merci beaucoup.

That's brilliant @Danini. A nice and varied collection and one I hope stays on Amazon for the 2022 collection.

PS. The blister packs of 13+2 are great value making the packets 59p each with delivery baked in making it a really good deal for an overseas collection that is normally too expensive to collect. Plus according to eBay sellers almost every player is a rookie! Haha, I think not!
