Topps Panini and AI

I’m starting this thread to ask if anyone knows why Panini and Topps don’t use AI for their card photo edits (jersey swaps)—specifically for lines like Adrenalyn and Topps cards. I’m fed up with seeing hideous edits where jerseys are drawn on or pasted in a grotesque, embarrassing way. I collected the Adrenalyn *Calciatori* set last year; the edits were pathetic, so I won’t make that mistake again. Now I’ve seen a photo of the Topps Premier League 26-27 cards, and the editing is just as awful. It makes me wonder: with AI, you can create perfect edits in two minutes, so why waste fifteen minutes producing something so shoddy? I’m sharing the Estevao card—which features a horrible edit—alongside one created by AI in just two minutes.

I understand your point of view that AI would be better than what is being distributed.

For me the better question is why don't they just do things properly? Why does anything have to be edited? For both Panini & Topps they are in such a rush to put as many collections out as possible to try and milk their customers for as much money as possible that they consistently release sets with woefully incorrect squads and players in kits they have never even worn.

Wishful thinking, it's not going to change.

No - it isn't going to change, Topps are pushing out their new PL set at the end of next week. It's just a complete money grab that has neither club crests or goalkeepers and has a million parallels. Looks even worse than last year's collection and of course the squads are going to be very out of date.
