I was told late October in all countries except UK where this is expected to be the 2nd/3rd week of January.Right, I forgot UK is later due to Premier League... Then I suppose it's around that time then, late September or early October for Europe in general.
For Germany Topps had made the announcement that KDB will appear only in Bravo Sport Magazine # 24/2018, not in the common Topps products. They have signed earlier this year (I think?) another 3-year deal with UEFA, so you'll be getting Topps CL until 2021.Having opened nearly every product released I can honestly say this is a much improved collection than previous years.
The designs are cleaner and the colours are vibrant. The sub-set cards all look different and the LEs are easier to collect.
I have 7 of 14 limited edition cards so far which is not bad considering I have not opened any booster boxes yet.
One thing is missing from this year is the trophy card & the official CL match ball.
Also, would have been nice to have a historical sub-set of past winning teams or players.
Once again, I believe that Topps have just failed to deliver a perfect or near perfect product once again.
If they lose the rights with UEFA for next season, they have only themsleves to blame.

Agree that his collection has improved. Design is nice, love the MOTM cards and players pictures blend well with the cards. Still not a fan of so many scores, but sometimes it's fun to check it out too (and I suppose kids like it).
The only major flaw is the usual one: just 22 teams. Panini had it too, most likely due to licensing but maybe lack of space in collection (keeping 18 cards per team makes the binder "tidier"?)... Here in Portugal, it's even more notorious because Benfica is not there and well, there's so many here who just collect something if it has their team in it. And seeing how MA boxes are almost always closed when I go to shops, I believe MA collection here will have poor sales. Stickers are still selling though, not only because Benfica is there, but also because we're a sticker country, people want it cheaper.
Also, it annoys me a bit how Limiteds can be found this year. If finally there's no more GSB, based on what I saw so far, Topps has decided that blisters/multipacks and mini-tins have ALL limiteds available, except Neymar I think (which comes in starter pack). Which means you might get a limited you already got from mega-tin, which are fixed LEs. Saw many pulling Messi or Salah from blisters/multipacks, when these are found in specific mega-tins. Still better than GSB crap though.
Overall, it's the best CL MA set so far and always preferred Topps cards rather than stickers.
Still regarding that issue, here's a more complete answer from a Topps spanish manager:issued in cinema's on 12th, 13th and 14th October in both Barcelona and Madrid... one of the big Spanish Tubers said they checked with Topps directly.
So they did advertise it there, but maybe, for most, not the best communication channels?Those cards were part of a cinemas promotion. Sorry not available anywhere.
The situation is that we produced those for a retailer or similar but we couldn’t close an agreement so at the end we had this opportunity with the cinemas. In fact there was a national newspaper “LA RAZÓN” with a full page advertising the promotion in Spain 10th and 11th of October. And also radio in LA SER and RADIO MARCA channels, so we did a good advice before!
