Topps have announced that the 2016/17 edition of UEFA Champions League Match Attax will be released on 29 September, 2016. In the United Kingdom the release will be later, probably be closer to Christmas, like it was last season and the collection mighty be released early or later in some countries. Thanks to Alan on Cartophilic we have some pictures of the Nordic Edition with the Packet, Starter Pack, Tins and Advent Calendar.
From the pictures we can also confirm 22 teams out of the 32 on the group stage. Arsenal, Leicester, Manchester City and Spurs from England. Dortmund, Bayer Munchen and Bayern Leverkusen from Germany. Atletico de Madrid, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla from Spain. Lyon and PSG from France, Benfica and Sporting from Portugal, Besiktas from Turkey, Club Brugge from Belgium, Basel from Switzerland, Dynamo Kyiv from Ukraine and PSV from Netherlands.

Card design looks pretty neat, though there are too many scores that makes the card more ugly... I know Topps focus on kids and it's great they think about them, but so many scores just take off part of the focus on the player.

Seems we'll continue with the gold/silver/bronze limiteds, but I guess it was expected, as they've been doing this for years... Hopefully there's really different pictures between the 3 LE of each player, because last season most of them were almost the same.

Those products in nordic edition should also be in every country, I don't want to have the same struggle I did in the past season, with only half of the products released here and more than half of the LEs almost imposssible to get without buying hundreds (thousands?) of packs... The language barrier made impossible to buy abroad.

And about that language barrier, I sincerely hope they have now a unified card language and not releasing cards with just slight differences in writing, that won't allow us to buy anywhere besides our own country... It's a damn international collection.

Messi Gold in starter, english too (but last season Netherlands had the english version too).

As usual, Topps starter packs sucks, almost 8€ for just binder, 6 cards and a Gold LE... FOr the same amount, I buy a portuguese league starter pack with two limiteds and four sealed booster packs.

Don't forget to share also what you got in those FIFA 365 tins (in the appropriate thread, of course), helps to the blog article list.

Most important: which is the language on the cards?

The starter pack is in English, hopefully also the cards.
But how it will be in other countries?o_O

On the Messi limited edition card you can see the language is English, as last year.

At least 5 difrent LE ,because Messi is le5 but how many?
Probably 8 again, so 24 to collect.

So only 22 teams and from the checklist I see ELEVEN 100 Club cards! I do hope they are not as rare as in the previous edition. Otherwise this set will be very expensive...
Same 22 teams who qualified directly, so this year, we shall probably have an "Extra" Edition, with the remaining 10.

About cards... if it wasn't for so many useless scores, I would say it was a very good design, but those extra six scores ruins a bit... But kids must love it, I suppose.
