Showcase your collection?

Would it be a good idea to have a robust system that can allow users to upload :

• Photos
• Description
  
• Reviews

of albums, stickers, cards or entire collections? Would you guys be interested in having such a system?
It is possible to create one which can enable even ratings, rankings etc, we can vote for collections, etc.

Basically it can look like this, just without cars! Imagine stickers and cards on the photos.

@Pei It is going to be a completely independent section of the site, but it will be synchronized with forums so that you do not have to login/logut separately. Basically it will be part of the forums more then a site, but it will be separate.

I have a question. Since the items will be added in similar format as on eBay (just much easier interface).
It will be like : Create an item > Add title >Add description >Add image> Chose category > BOOM ,YOUR DONE!

I am having troubles in deciding what sort of categories should be out there?
Should I separate stickers and cards? Separate full collections and single albums? Should there be packs and boxes? Should I allow other hobby related stuff such as figures and so on?

@Pavle on my opinion: keep separate sticker albums and cards, then anyone free to updload the whole collection together or putting step by step from older one to new one. I'll do like that, so when i got new albums i can add to my showcase. I don't agree to allow other hobby or could be really a mess... too many things together. Any way for us to have change to upload file more heavy than normal in the forum? As you know I have not a good attitude about technology

Large files can cause page speed loading. Imagine you enter a page where 20 people uploaded 10mb images, it can mess things up. I will see if there is a solution that website can resize large images. If not I will post some online tools that are free and can be used to resize file size.

Great idea Pavle. I agree with Caniggia : you should separate cards and stickers. For the other categories, I have to think it but you shouldn't, to my opinion, add other hobbies because this will never end.

Guys, I cant wait to release this. I am still doing some final changes to this feature, but I am sure you will love it!
It is so amazing and easy to use. Cant wait to show it to you. Perhaps even today if I manage to solve all tiny design issues.

Sneak and peek at showcase features.
First photo shows how single item looks, in this example Este 10-11 album with a gallery bellow it. On the right hand site you can see stats about item and member including latest 3 items posted by the member.

Second photo shows general look at showcase page.

The beta (test) version of showcase has now been launched.

Feel free to ask questions or report any bugs. And most importantly enjoy uploading your stuff.

I forgot to mention that when you enter a users profile, you can see a showcase tab, which will list all the stuff he has added to the showcase.

For now moderator is required to approve your item when you submit it, but I am working on making this process quicker. Everything should be running smooth.
