Seeking Advice on Card Collecting Tips and Strategies

Hi everyone,

I recently got into card collecting and I’m looking for some advice from experienced collectors. I’d love to hear your tips on starting a collection, what to look for in cards, and any strategies for building a valuable collection. Are there any specific brands or types of cards you would recommend starting with? Also, how do you store and protect your cards to maintain their condition?

The best bit of advice I would give is to not join the hobby for making money, but instead, for the love of collecting. Once money is brought in, the joy is taken out. Start off with collecting sets that are easily available in local shops - this may include different sports, tv shows etc. Join groups on social media to see other peoples collections and to connect with like minded people. Do not try and rush at the beginning and slowly build up your collection at your own pace. Have fun and good luck.
