Rookie Cards - Any Online Site / Service Available

I was trying to identify the rookie card of Wayne Rooney , however i found that there are no online services / websites available to check this .

Can we do something to create a service like this so that it can be useful to collectors .


Note : A rookie card is a trading card that is the first to feature a specific player

Never trust sellers when it comes to rookie cards. For them, every card they sell is a rookie. The best it to do it yourself. Here is a guideline.

Thanks for the guidance , that is a very well written post .

I was checking if we can start a service/checklist as part of this forum so that we can help collectors , I know its very difficult and takes time .

As a starter we can go with the famous footballers and if clicks it can be expanded .

I can answer that from a standpoint in the UK but Im sure you've probably found the answer already (in case you havent)...
the first TRADING CARD produced of Wayne Rooney by a company for distribution in the UK was the Topps Premier Gold 2003 Trading Card Collection. He is numbered E3 in the collection if thats any help standing for Everton no.3 card (the club he started at). Dont know if there were any foreign issued cards before this date, I wouldnt think so though??
