Qatar 2022 confirmed in almost winter

Winter Breaks will just be moved back a few weeks from all the leagues which have them then like PL, Liga Santander, Serie A etc etc and standard european seasons will end in June? means the next world cup is only 3 and a quarter years away!!!

No no Andy, it's 4 and half years, as this will be played during 2022/23 season.

For EPL, I read league can resume with Boxing Day... But many important leagues, such as spanish, french, italian, even english, will have to start early, still in July, I think.

I am determined to not watch any group stage games anymore but classic matchups like POR- ESP or ARG- CRO. With only 3 countries per group and seeded teams there will probably be no games like this anyway, so the tournament will start for me when the knock out stage begins
