so it's too early to have info about album but there is already a great new: for first time ever we'll have stickers of Island (or Iceland)! :)

Caniggia, I'm very happy about that! I like to collect stickers from countries that never (or rare) qualified to a championship. I think Walles and Northern Ireland would qualify. And I would like to collect the stickers of Romania. I like that national team since 1994 World Cup.

While Iceland is the first surprise for getting qualified with two matches to play (or maybe not, they almost made it to 2014 WC), Netherlands is the main dissapointment... They might not even manage to get to the playoffs (if it was on another previous qualifications, they would be out right away), but their current rival, Turkey, will face both Czech Republic and Iceland in the final matches... But these teams will play relaxed, so Turkey might have the advantage.

Anyway, Panini could be right to let Netherlands out of the RTE 2015 sticker collection!

Wales and Northern Ireland are almost qualified too, Greece is the worse surprise in this qualification, Bosnia in the same position as Netherlands... Oh, and Austria, almost flawless qualification, already 1st for sure in their group!

When the qualifications is over (playoffs included), it'll be fun to compare the RTE 2016 album with the teams that will really go to Euro 2016.

@dantzig , I would like to see Austria in the album. Well, they were a traditional national team that qualified for a lot of World Cups, and now they don't do that by a long time. It would be nice to collect stickers from them. And what happened to Netherlands? They did a excelent World Cup last year, and now they disappointed.

reason of Holland not inclued in RTE album seems due to lack of interest in this country about stickers; if I have understood also Eredivisie has not album now, correct? honestly in RTE album is nice to have teams that will not take part, some countries is only chance to have stickers..

also Wales will be a great new ... and I'm already dreaming on a special album printed only for Iceland with some extra stickers! @Pavle do we have any good contact in Reykjavik? :)

Netherlands do not have a Eredivisie album, you are right @Caniggia, the past years Supermarkets "Albert Heijn" were one of the main sponsorf of the Dutch league so they made a album just available at their supermarkets, but after they stopped sponsoring there is nothing to get in Netherlands anymore.
In NL interest in the Dutch league is not that big anymore, people watch English football or other european leagues, those who live close to the border come to German games often.
Anyway...

I am really looking forward to the upcomming eurocup. i hope for some nice stuff from France, "La vache qui rit" hopefully will make some additional things ;)

Since 1998 Austria was away from big competitions (I'm not counting Euro 2008, because they were hosts, so no work to qualify)... With their great campaign and after a 1-4 in Sweden home last night, it might be better to keep an eye on them

If Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord were top teams like in the 70's until the 90's, dutch people would probably be more enthusiastic with their football.

Special stickers in Iceland? With all respect to icelandics, hope not, it would be a pain in the ass to get those... They're a few more than 300 000 habitants, so how many serious collectors are there? Plus, there is no Panini Iceland, is it?

Still, with just those habitants, they manage to qualify directly to Euro 2016... Good "harvest" there ;)

We better keep an eye with the french market before Euro 2016... If it's like 2012 and 2014, they'll release updated stickers before anyone else and they sell fast!

Support Portugal, we're now the new greeks... Just barely playing some decent football, only close victories, some in the added time... And we have the previous greek manager! Yeah, we're going to be champions like Greece was in 2004 :p

Iceland Euro 2016 udpate stickers, printed only there ... let's start a war! :p

if Panama printed own Panini album about their young team winner (i don't remember if it was World Cup or not) everything can happen. And it does a matter if there isn't Panini in Iceland. In Panama was same and album was printed in Modena ;)

@Caniggia Damn the Panini italian factory who produce it all! Don't give them ideas!

Anyone noticed that UK will probably have a Euro madness never seen before? So, besides England, most probably we'll have Wales and Northern Ireland... Which means there will be something extra for those teams too.

But please, no Iceland stickers :( Really, I admire you icelandics, you've built a fantastic team with so little, but don't have anything extra for Euro 2016! Unless any of you want to be friends and send me those. Then it's ok :)

What a marvellous incoming album... first time ever Albania, Ireland, Island, Wales!
It is northern Ireland to be correct which makes it so great.Seen them last times in the wc albums of my childhood days!
Maybe Ireland will make it on play offs anyway.
My hopes for Israel & Hungary have not been for filled.

Those Eurocups album from late 70s had Wales there... both national and club team, I think.

Can't be happy for Albania, after what happened in Belgrade... Both nations were at fault, one for the bad behavior of their supporters, other for stirring all the situation (not only the drone, but also the players)... To me, they would be fighting for 3rd place with Serbia.

Be careful with Portugal, we're now "greekers" than ever! Most defensive Portugal I recall and we get 7 straight wins in qualification, always with one goal difference.

I think you lost alreday your chance to win Eurocup :)
p.s. completely agree about what happened in Beograd, I was just thinking about stickers

No we didn't... If even Greece got to win, Portugal with a "greek" coach will win too... And Euro will be in France, which has a lot of portuguese immigrants.

I'm now more curious to check the Turkey/Netherlands situation... Turkey will not go to play-off only if they lose at home against Iceland, which has been losing steam after qualifying... Very, very bad situation for Netherlands

And anyone remember there will be a best 3rd place to qualify directly? Assuming Slovakia handles Luxembourg, Ukraine is very close to be that team, but they'll face Spain in this last round... And Croatia can very well snatch that place, should Ukraine lose against Spain and they win against Malta... Love calculating these situations ;)

I need to pick a team to get on the bandwagon for in 2016.
What style do you like? Total attack, counterattack, ball possession, long ball to attack (english style), defensive, tactical or Mourinho (two last)?

Ukraine has lost against Spain and seems Hungary is ahead to be the best 3rd place, because of that rule of discounting the points won against last place... Which was Greece and Hungary lost and draw against them, so 15 points total (Ukraine had to discount 6, so 13 total).

Croatia can't beat Hungary for best 3rd place, but they may even go as 2nd place, because they will face easy Malta, while Norway will play in Italy... If Norway draws or loses against Italy and Croatia wins, Croatia will go and Norway goes to play-off.

Do you know why Hungary is still not qualified as 3rd best? Because of Turkey, Latvia and Kazhakstan! It depends of two Group A matches: Turkey match and Kazhakstan vs Latvia... Turkey must win, no matter what, but they can only go as 3rd best IF Kazhakstan win, relegating Latvia to last place... Because Turkey drew both matches against Latvia and so, ends up only lose 2 points, which makes 16 points, enough to surpass Hungary score... So, do you think it's possible? Kazhakstan never won in the group, but they are facing at home the most acessible team to them.

So cool checking these scenarios :D
