So I think it's time we get started with the most antecipated card collection of this year.

According to a CardzReview member, @LeeWest1865, Panini will release this collection in February 18th, so we are exactly one month away from the beginning! Of course, assuming UK will be the first to receive the collection, which has been usual in the past tournaments.

Anyway, from now on, feel free to leave news, impressions or just discuss something about this collection... Personally, I would like something within the same quality of FIFA 365, maybe with more Team Mates included (so we won't get overwhelmed with those cards) and of course, more affordable to make... Also, not so many Limited Editions, just half of what was released in FIFA 365 seems ok to me... Maybe even less... Hear me Panini? LESS! And end up with the rare turkish, russian, nordic, whatever.

SHOW MUST GO ON! :D

Release Dates:
UK -> 18th February
Germany -> 19th February

EDITS:
First pictures: 3 Limited Edition

I am only guessing but I think there is a chance in the UK that we will get to see Adrenalyn Euro 2016 cards on Thursday 21 January. This is the date of the next issue of Panini Strike-It magazine (number 57), and to the best of my knowledge we do not get any more FIFA 365 limited edition with the magazine. I will check on Thursday.

What I would like to see is :

1-More team mates, about 17 each team with the team logo of course for 18 total per country.
2-A pre-game team picture card like the WC2014 Prizm one.
3-Stadium cards with info on the back. They did that for the trading cards for Euro 2008 & WC 2010 in Germany & WC2010.
4-City portrait cards like the sticker collection and the 365 cards from the FIFA365 collection, that was lovely.

What I don't want to see is :

1-Team snap with 3 cards divided like they did for the RTE 2016. Firstly, they don't look right, secondly, very hard to collect.
2-No more bollocks like 2045 Master & 9858 Top Master(Euro 2012) cards which leaves us collectors broke for 6 mths or so trying to get them all from E-bay like.
3-Too many LEs that no one can find unless you live in Turkey, Poland, South Pole, North Pole & Antarctica.

Am sure I will have more ideas later.

There will not be a Strike-It magazine in January? Since I've written the Adrenalyn blog article, I remember FIFA 365 Modric LE was in 56... But yeah, they'll probably take advantage to publish a fresh new LE.

I suppose you prefer more like Topps structure then? I think something in the middle would be nice, not so simple as Topps, but not too special focused as Panini... I agree with the 18 cards per team, but all mixed together, like about 10 Team Mates, Rising Star, Game Changer, Expert, Master, Logo, etc... Wouldn't it make every page beautiful, rather the boring Team Mates pages?

Stadiums would be very nice for sure! Team picture too, though you would need a horizontal slot for better view... Cities and stadiums for intro, like sticker album, would be much better for sure!

Just one more tip to Panini: Keep the Legends subset, so many good players we can remember in Euro Cups!

I have been waiting for Hungarian cards since I am collector. I can't wait to collect this set.

My requirements :)
- More team mates than limiteds.
- Same players from each team. No 30 Germans and 5 Albanians and 3 from Iceland
- Special subsets: Trophy,Stadium,Badges,Magic Moments,Great Players,fan,supporter cards
- Great cards not only for Scandinavian collectors
- Normal limiteds would be enough but I think we'll have XXL,XL too
- Same numbered cards in Scandinavian and other sets.

No I don't want a Topps structure. That has served it's time.

Thing is whilst I agree with you about mixing the 18 cards per team pages will look nicer(ie with GM, Expert & such) it will make the collection smaller in numbers thus Panini will have to add other sub-sets.

If they add as you say a Legends sub-set the collection will be even better. Say about 16 legends who have played for their countries.
Puskas, Moore, Hurst, Platini, Zidane, Eusebio, Di Stefano, Beckenbauer, Muller, . Legends like these for example if they have the rights of course.

Lets say we go with 18 per team x 24= 432 cards + sub sets like Legends, Team pics, stadiums and such.
We could well get to 500 cards which is huge from a collector point of view and even worse for the Nordic edition.

Another idea they can do is a previous champion sub-set. It could be a captain lifting the trophy on the podium or the team running around the pitch with the trophy. I know it's been done on the sticker collection which I have but with the cards they can print the final info on the back of the card. Like the result, team line up and manager name of the winning country.

Would not surprise me to see a small sub-set of signature cards like FIFA365 did.

Agree with everything, though nordic edition will not dissapear easily, because it's an excuse for publishers to profit there... Prices are higher there and they don't want finnish, norwegian, swedish and danish to pay less like the rest of europeans do (remember, in nordic retail stores, booster pack price is 2x more than most countries)... Therefore, exclusive cards are always the "candy" for nordic collectors.

@LFC1892
Do you remember how FIFA 365 Ultimate Gift Box is? Dividers by teams, except 3 that are not part of any team? Transpose that to an album and it would be awesome... No need for extra subsets outside teams, except what we mentioned here (maybe 27 cards intro like sticker album), then the 432 cards and finally the legends/winners section, maybe another 27 more... So a total of 484 cards (27 sheets)... If Topps can do it with 524, why not Panini?

If you want also info on the back of each card, then binder needed to be a mega-binder with 60 sheets, because it would be only one card per slot... Adrenalyn almost never had cards with back info and I don't think it'll happen here too.

Puskas would be great to have, since Hungary is back on Euro... To make it more "equal", one legend per team would be enough

@dantzig Good point about the pages in the binder, forgot about that.
As for the legends? Can you name me 1 legend from Albania or Wales or N Ireland or Iceland ? :D
Ian Rush( LFC hero of mine) for Wales & Gerry Armstrong or Pat Jennings for N.IRL that's about all I can think of.
I don't think even Panini knows that. No chance of 24 legends unless it's 2 or 3 from the same country.

Would be no point in having Rush or Armstrong in it though, as neither ever played in a European Championships. In fairness I wouldn't have eny English in it either, as we've never achieved anything in the Euros.

haha that's true Lee but I was thinking legends that represented their countries even if they have not played in the Euros.
it's a way of introducing some collectors to players that maybe they are not familiar with unlike you and I who have grown up in the UK and know all about them.

Panenka and Yashin would get my vote.

Nah, the 27 in the end I would add were half for legends, half for winners... Since Euro Cup has been created, there's been 14 winners, so the other 13 would be legends and of course, from the teams who were there most... Could be the star player of each winner, like Platini in 84 or Zidane in 2000, but I think we should have others too, like Puskas (though he has been in recent FIFA 365)

Panenka and Yashin would get my vote.
Definitely Panenka would deserve a Legend card too... And if we think about it, Panini has been doing this Legend stuff for CL and no FIFA 365, so why not pick some of them and add to Euro 2016?

No Euro cards in today's Panini Strike-It - only 5 packets of England stickers :(. A really poor choice in my opinion, and I would expect this issue to not sell particularly well.
Issue 58 is scheduled for release on 18th February - the same day as the collection is scheduled for release. I'm not sure if 2+2=4 at Panini though!

That is the reason why Craques (the portuguese Strike-It) ended after year and half... In the last 3-4 issues, after portuguese sticker updates and Limiteds in Adrenalyn, there were selling only the magazine, not even a tiny gift, so you can imagine how many they sold... Jugon in Spain has more than 100 issues already and they always bring gifts, therefore their success.

I'm not sure if this is coming out on the 18th/Feb because Topps are releasing their Champions League Showcase collection the day before.

Unless TOPPS is only a North American release then we will see E2016 out the next day.

Why not both? It's different publishers, maybe with different distributors... And last major competitions had Panini release Adrenalyn by mid/late February.

I'm not complaining mate. I actually can't wait for the E2016 collection. Just wondered if both competing companies have an understanding that they won't release a collection the same week.

If they have, it's better for us, but let's be honest: Topps has been delaying their CL collections forever, it started with MA being in September and Showcase in October or November, when in the end, MA was in November and Showcase in February... And we all know Panini releases Adrenalyn by that time, though I agree March or even April would be better.

Also, the target audience is not really the same: one is low/mid quality from a European Cup, other is high quality from CL... And Panini already released their Donruss and Select collections.
