The International Cycling Union (UCI) and the famous Italian publishing house Panini, well known for its collectible sticker albums, are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of an album celebrating the centenary of the UCI Road World Championships.

The event will start in 100 days in Flanders (Belgium) and will take place from 19 to 26 September 2021.

This commemorative album will have a special resonance, because beyond the 100 years that have passed since the inaugural edition of the event in Copenhagen (Denmark), this anniversary will take place in Flanders, a land of cycling par excellence: Its legendary champions (Eddy Merckx, Johan Museeuw, Tom Boonen or Yvonne Reynders), its mythical races (the Tour of Flanders, one of the five Monuments of our sport, or Gent-Wevelgem in Flanders Fields), its past UCI World Championships (Moorslede in 1950, Waregem in 1957, and Ronse twice in 1963 and 1988), and finally its famous cobblestones and mountains that make the four K's of the Flemish heritage so formidable: Koppenberg, Kwaremont, Kapelmuur and Kemmelberg.

The album presented by the UCI and Panini will celebrate the UCI Road World Champions since 1921, the privileged wearers of the legendary rainbow jersey that they proudly wear until the next edition of the UCI World Championships on the roads of the international cycling calendar.

The UCI and Panini will offer exclusive content linked to the anniversary event, which will trace the evolution of cycling and highlight the routes and the four host cities (Knokke-Heist, Bruges, Antwerp and Leuven), as well as the cycling activities for all developed in Flanders, a region which was awarded the UCI Bike City label in February 2021.

Produced in 30,000 copies, the album will be available from the beginning of July on newsstands in Belgium and Luxembourg, and internationally online at https://www.sticker-collection.be/.

UCI President David Lappartient said: "The centenary of the UCI Road World Championships will be an extremely popular event, driven by Flanders, a region and a population that have a real passion for cycling. What better way to strengthen the link between fans and collectors and our sport than with a Panini album dedicated to this century of sporting achievements and to the great cycling champions, both male and female? This commemorative album will undoubtedly be a much sought-after item for fans of the Little Queen.

Thierry de Latre du Bosqueau, Managing Director of Panini-Belgium, said: "Panini is very proud to launch this summer, in collaboration with the UCI, a unique album on the 100 years of the UCI Road World Championships, the 2021 edition of which will take place in Flanders. With this initiative, we are offering a unique collection that will allow fans to turn the pages of cycling history, a history that continues in a particular context that makes us want more than ever to gather around a sporting event like these UCI World Championships in September, which are essential to social life. This exciting collection will undoubtedly be a ̎collector ̎ for all those who get it, collectors or cycling fans, young or old."

I received a mail today that I can buy it online already.
Specifications of the collection:
33 pages
155 stickers to collect

It's good, I'll buy it. It's a small pretty good looking collection. So it wont be that expensive.
Album looks very good quality (looking at the pictures). 5 different pockets look neat too.

Hi. I am actually from the UK.I do not seem to be able to correct my location.
Yes it's odd, it's on the International site but doesn't send to the UK or other western european countries, mind you I'm not too sure about buying 500 stickers for a collection of only 155.

If you look on sticker-collection.be they sell a starter pack with a soft cover album and 20 packs of stickers that is what I would go for
but as you can see they do not ship to the UK.

I've collected this one and I must say I'm happy I did.
To be honest this is the best collection from panini I've seen since... well ever.
Album is very good designed, the quality of the stickers and album are insanely good.
I doubt there will ever be a WC or euro album like this.
