Hello
Italy
Hello,

You know everything is well described in the 1st page of this post here :

To resume the stickers and Cards were issue like that :
Italy : Green Back
Italy : Red/blue
International : Red/black

The Italy Green Back cards were included in packets with also cards written on the back "Valida" (1 point) and "Bisvalida" (2 point). With enought points, It was at that time to send it back to Panini and received some items (shirts, Balls and so on). For example 150 points for one shirt. Two kinds of packets, first at 10 Lire with 3 cards + 1 card Valida or Bisvalida, second packet at 20 Lire with 2 cards + 1 Bisvalida.

The Italy Red/Blue were in packets with no Valida / Bisvalida cards.

Hello everyone, and congratulations for this great site and for your contributions I'm really enjoying it, I feel my English but I'm Spanish and I use Google translator

I have a doubt and I appeal to you of what value this album COMPLETO MEXICO 70 PANINI can have, since I am considering a possible purchase to be the only one that I need but not being a person who controls a lot these issues, I do not want to be wrong or that is being deceived

What price do you see just for an album in this state? thank you very much

Hello and welcome on our forum,

This album is on sale on eBay for month, this is an UK version, I'm not a specialist but there is no signs on fake stickers. The price asked on eBay including shipping is around 2400 Euros which is, in my opinion, in the high level of the quote according with the overall state of the album.

I'm fluent in spanish if you want to talk about it send my a private message.

This topic is dedicated to anything related to Panini's Mexico 70 sticker album. This is the first WC collection ever released by Panini. This set is one of the most sought-after in this hobby and the priciest at the same time.

A complete album can be bought on online auction sites such as eBay for approximately 1500-5000$ depending on its condition.

It is good to know that Mexico 1970 was one of a kind set with a combination of cards and stickers in one. Actually it can be said that this set was more card then sticker set, since it contained only a few self-adhesive stickers.

Collection information :
  • Cards/Stickers : 1-288
  • Album : 50 pages
  • Album size : 23 x 24 cm
Album Variations

Panini produced at least three versions of Mexico 70:
  • English version
  • Italian Version
  • International Version
English one, with the album priced at two shillings; a European one, which went primarily to West Germany, Spain and France; and an Italian one.

The English and European albums had similar covers. The Italian one was different. All are now rare, with the English edition the rarest of all.

Additional resources for Mexico 70

Here are some good articles which can help you find out more about this collection:

Bellow is an expert of an interesting article published by Hyder Jawad, BackPass magazine, page 62. Its about the reasons why Mexico 70 is so sought-after. Article goes even deeper by explaining how distribution of this collection worked in 1970, and how Panini UK and their distributors messed things up. Article also talks about piracy of this collection.

As you know no copying from other sites is allowed on this forum, but since there was no information on this online ,I typed out the part of the article and you can read it in full by clicking on the image bellow the part.

Hi
Could it be right that there may be cards with green backs in the English packets? I have an orange pack with Juanito
and I can see that the back is from the Italian version

Can anyone tell by the look of the cover if this is original or fake in any way?
Shield held by a knight looks different than one held on a April version of album but we are talking about 2 different versions here.
