Good Morning All!

I just thought that I would resurrect this thread.

Has anybody completed the Este La Liga 16/17 album yet?

I've slowly been collecting it and I'd first like to say that over time this album has really grown on me. I wasn't sure at first but I actually really like it now.

I've just received the "Conmemorativo cromos" or stickers for page 3 of the album. These are unique to Spain Panini and are simply stickers of the album cover and the badges!

IMG_4428.JPG

These go on page three and come with Jugon magazine (#118) to be stuck in below:

My final question is whether anyone knows if the updates are out? I have found where to place them...

... No not in the album but they go in a recent edition of Jugon and they have provided a section to put the updates stickers in. The pictures below are from the magazine:

As soon as I get the updates stickers I will share more! If anyone has anything else to add I would be very happy to hear more!

Nice photos of the album Rob, have the main teams in the album been given double pages, and the rest one page each? For example Real, Barcalona, Athletico, etc.

I have done a bit of digging for you and found this:

http://www.ligaeste.es/la-coleccion/actualiza-tu-coleccion.html

And ran it through google translate and this looks like your answer :)

Like every year, during the first months of 2017, the magazine Jugón will offer during several editions, the possibility of obtaining the cards of the winter signings.
So pay attention to our website, because at the time of leaving the magazine we will publish the news to inform you of the details.

DO NOT LEAVE THE NEWS!

In March, April and May of 2017 you will be able to expand in a spectacular way your collection of the LEAGUE ESTE 2016-17.
With the respective JUG! Of March, April and May of 2017 you will find IN EXCLUSIVE a special series with the cards of the new players arrived at the League in the WINTER MARKET.

Thanks @Jamiepr74 that's great information about the updates. Most appreciated!

Funnily enough I didn't plan to collect this album, but someone was selling 200+ spare stickers very cheaply in the UK a few weeks back and I thought why not!

When I'm home tonight I'll share more details about the album and hopefully some pictures too!

Hi friends! Regarding this collection, take in consideration that Panini Spain launched it in four editions
I explain: in middle August they launch packets with for example 200 stickers, two weeks after they launch packets including 100 stickers more, one month after they launch packets including 100 stickers more, so when you buy packets in stores you do not know the stickers that you find in the packets before open it (externally packets are all the same in the 4 editions).
The best option is to buy packets of the last edition (I buy in www.totcromo.es "Liga Este 4ª Edición") and you find in it stickers for edition 1, edition 2, edition 3 and edition 4.
I hope I have clarify a bit about this collection (my english is a bit bad:p)

Hi @Jamiepr74 I have pictures and information for you now! It's certainly an intriguing album and one I'm enjoying learning about. This album is a tricky one to understand and collect but a rewarding one nonetheless!

So each team has a double page spread and space for 16 player stickers. Strangely there's a 4-page advert in the middle of Real Madrid's pages (whoops!). Here's Athletic Bilbao's main pages:

IMG_4503.JPG

The stickers look like the following and include a player portrait and an action shot. Each one is landscape and the material is terrific quality, almost card like.

Interestingly the earlier pages is where you stick all of the team badges and manager shots. These are grouped together and away from the team pages:

Badges and team manager stickers are below. I like these designs even though none of them are fully metallic; in fact I think personally they work better this way. If I was to be critical I would say that the badges would look better vertically (but they don't look out of place):

The Segunda liga (la liga 2) only receives two pages for the badges only.

A few thoughts before I stick my first one into the album:

+ large format album with quality feel
+ large stickers printed on excellent material
+ very different to most other albums

- vertical badges would be better
- no team or stadium stickers
- tricky to collect

But this is just the beginning as there are still more pages to evaluate... part two to follow soon!

Part two here we go...

Google translate has worked a treat tonight! I now make my way to the double page spread of Serie Oro or translated the Gold Series:

IMG_4505.JPG

These two pages have a more luxurious feel that almost reminds me of the FIFA 365 series (well a little I guess, maybe it's getting late here as I write!).

There are 16 top La Liga players and each sticker is signed by the player. They've embraced a trading card feel but without the stats and something that could work more going forward:

IMG_4514.JPG

Further into the album there are pages for 64 stickers in the ultimos fichajes section (thanks to google it's translated as latest signings). I believe that the forthcoming updates go here:

IMG_4507.JPG

The next page at first appeared quite unique as they're cartoon style stickers about respecting the referee/fair play.

IMG_4508.JPG

IMG_4513.JPG

I say quite unique as UK Football 83 (what an album!) had a large sticker section devoted to the rules of the game. More of that sometime soon in a thread far far away... sorry had Star Wars on in the background!

Finally I see there's two pages that I have to admit have confused me! Are stickers available or going to be available for these? If they are for stickers then these look to be half sized...

IMG_4509.JPG

OK that's pretty much the album covered, I'm yet to put a sticker in as I'm just trying to get my head round it all but hopefully the time will be here soon!

As I find out more about this collection I'll share more...
