Starting this thread, even though a bit early, but the new EFL season starts tonight with the EFL Cup first round! (I’ll be watching my beloved Burnley v Notts County on Saturday)

The season opening presentation was yesterday (in Manchester I believe) and Panini logos were everywhere so we will definitely have Panini EFL products this season. Hopefully they learned and will produce a hardcover album and some more accessible card collections this time around. Only 3 months to wait now!

I'm going to Cambridge v Barnet on Saturday.

We may get a hardcover album for the sticker collection - but I don't think we'll get an Adrenalyn type card set this year (although it would be very nice).

I think Panini's contract with the EFL was for a sticker collection and hobby boxes so unless that changes - that is what we will get.

I'm with you all on this, as I see my OG team rapidly go down the leagues it's good I will have some players I have never heard of playing for Leicester in the album! Ha I joke

Hopefully they won't do these parallel stickers direct from clubs again, as paying £8 on eBay for a Port Vale sticker was pushing it!

A great album to have and it may be my only album I will do from packet this winter.

And yes a hardcover album would be desirable

A better quality album (one that doesn't fall apart when you breathe on it), better stock availability and as few parallels as possible.

I actually liked the anniversary stickers - I got all 3 of them last season, but the Blackburn one was really hard to find.

Cambridge v Barnet was a pretty good game.

I just hope to have the possibility to get it in Spain, I was not able to get the first release, lets hope I can't get the second release

I wonder if the Robbie Williams sticker available at the Port Vale match this weekend is from EFL 2025/26 or is an early sticker from EFL 2026/27

I think it's more of a "one-off" sort of thing.

Not sure I'll be getting one of these unless I can get one for a reasonable price.

No I get that, what I mean is the other stickers have EFL 2025/26 on the back the same as the rest of the collection. I'm curious about where this one is going to fall

Because there is nothing worth collecting at the moment I decided I would revisit last season's EFL collection and get the rest of the Golden Captain parallels. I had about 10 of them and I've picked up the others.

I'll see what people are asking for the Robbie Williams sticker when it comes out.

There are several complete sets on ebay in the UK - the cheapest is just over £70, which is not bad.

The Klarer sticker on its own is very hard to find.

It has 2026/27 on the back, so this is the first official sticker from the currently unreleased collection

I’ve had a little look at which other specials we might see this year.

Middlesborough, Crewe & Wolves all turn 150 in either 2026 or 2027. Not too sure about the months so one or two might go into the 2027/28 set instead.

Norwich also turn 125 so they could do something there.

2028 marks 140 years since the founding of the football league so there’s a great opportunity there to do special badges for the teams who will be in the EFL that year.

While I don’t care much about the Robbie Williams sticker, it’s nicely done. The Panini hologram foils will look decent if they’re that format this year.

There are a few of the Robbie Williams sticker on ebay for ridiculous prices, so I think I'll pass on it.

I haven't looked forward more to a sticker collection coming out for a very long time. Hopefully the missteps from last season with the album quality and stock availability will be addressed this time.
