This post will be a guide to Panini FIFA 1978 sticker collection. It is based on a research of community members and fellow collectors. This guide is not definite and if you find something new or have some more info about particular version, let me know and I will gladly update it.
Third World Cup album by Panini came in 1978 for the another World Cup held in Argentina. The tournament was forth ever organized in South America at that time. Collection has been released around the globe due to the success of Munich 74.

It was very hard to find any information about difference on the back or front of the stickers or types of promo stickers. So if any single stickers collectors with more in depth info is able to chime in and add some more photos, it would be great.
I compared what I had.
Internatonal version of a sticker front and back
Yugoslav Back sticker version
Gornji Milanovac, Dečje Novine (DN) front is the same as INT one. Printed in Jugoslavija (Yugoslavia)
Update stickers, additional sets, promo merchandise
You should be aware that online sellers sell World Cup Story (published in 1990) stickers as an "update stickers set" to Argentina 78, but this is simply not true. World Cup Story only features players that were not in the album. So do not buy this lame story sellers are trying to sell. WCS stickers are pretty cheap and mass produced so do not spend your money on that, since I will say again, it is not a 1978 update set, its just a 1990 collection.
