Panini Adrenalyn XL Premier League 2024/2025

For anyone that may have been feeling sympathy for Panini losing the Premier League license, it looks like to commemorate their last season for a while they've decided to expand the parallel infection into this as well:



So that's a price increase and the addition of numbered parallels, which is something that absolutely nobody asked for. I would say it's ended up being karma for Panini that they lost the license but it's gone to Topps so that's just another competition that's been ruined for collectors old and new entirely.

It was only a matter of time. They introduced the stupid parallels for WC Qatar sticker collection so am not surprised.

Price increase will be blamed on "inflation" or rising price of paper.

I have every Panini PL collection so far and will do this as well but will stop once Topps takes over for 25/26 season.

Edit: Just read the packets now have 8 cards instead of 6. Still 2 quid more than the usual Kick off multi packs of seasons before.

I saw that Alan said that too but I couldn't see it on the Panini site so I didn't put that in until it was confirmed. Still more expensive though as you say. I expected it to come in at £5.99 like the England Adrenalyn did but to go another quid over that stinks of greed.

What's more greedy is that the KO multi packs are a "Preview" of the collection which means not all the sub-sets will be included nor are the precious Golden Ballers. The price was £4.99 for these now its £6.99 just to have a chance of a # Saka LE card. Get over Panini.

It's got worse today, new prices taken from Alan's blog and I've added the old prices next to them:

No information yet on how many packets in each but with only 2 extra cards per packet in the kick-off multipacks it looks like a disgraceful price increase. You would have to assume that the normal multipack includes 2 limited editions still so that at the same price is better value than the kick-off ones that only have a selection of the cards available in them and no chance of golden ballers.

Also news on the parallels. There is a Ruby parallel /100 and also an Onyx parallel /1 so most of the parallels available are going to as crap as you would expect for those that care in the first place.

Basically stealing from customers to cover the loss of license after this year. Just as bad as Topps and indefensible. Not a good sign for the World Cup in 2026!

Disgraceful price increase is an understatement.

All the products will contain useless, meaningless parallels that will take away from actual regular cards to finish the set which means spending more dosh to get the them needed cards.

Panini taking the same pathway as the other thieving competitor with their parallels for Match Attax.

Got 3 off the Multi-pack this morning came from panini in all there were 12 packs with 96 cards when all opened I got 80 new cards and 16 doubles
so do not know what people think but for me I thought would have been less doubles but personally I do like the cards and nice design for the subsets .Also see that on Panini website for pre order 50 packet box and a platinum card you get with it for £90 .But I think they but up the prices
to much.

Not seen 1 parallel of the Saka LE pulled so far.
Also, there are NO odds on the packets either. No one knows in how many multi packs the parallels come out.
Panini playing a blinder here in robbing collectors blind.
One YT channel opened about 15-20(can't remember exactly) multi packs with all of them a regular Saka LE.

There are a few on eBay with crazy prices of course. Across the entire distribution of the collection there are only 851 of these stupid numbered parallels so that might give you an idea on how likely it is to find one.

Oh and guess what? As if the invincible golden baller card wasn’t hard enough to find already, this year there’s parallels of that too:

Emerald 1:333 packs
Sapphire 1:500
Plasma 1:1000

They’ve introduced cards rarer than the platinum ballers that aren’t exactly flying off the shelves as it is.

Glad they’re losing the license for a while, disappointed that it’s to an equally poor company that has their own scandalous price rices and parallels.

Opened my first 6 multi packs today and surprise surprise all the LE Saka were regular.

Not that I was expecting anything after reading the above post with only 851 parallels printed.

Suffice to say that's the only 42 quid am going to spend on them multi packs.

The collection itself is not bad at all. The base cards are lovely and simple. The sub-sets are not bad with some stand out designs like Ice, Hot Shots and Midfield Master. Some sub-sets are just average looking/childish design like Relentless & Powerhouse. The addition of the stadiums is way long due by Panini in their last release for the PL. Love stadium cards.

The parallel Saka is very confusing. The artwork for the multipacks show signature limiteds again and the next Strike-It magazine has a Haaland limited edition with printed signature variant, but there is no mention of any other parallels on anything so far. Was it a random experiment for the kick-off set to raise the price and sell more? I hope it was only that.

Then the new Strike-It magazine comes with 3 packets but it says 18 cards which would be 6 per pack again. I presume that's a mistake or old artwork as I thought they had raised it to 8 per pack to try and explain their price rise?

After getting a few packs of these my first thought is that the cards are nice. The design is good but not hugely different to other versions, I think some of the cards even have the same player as the same number from last year. The golden ballers were a bit unimaginative too with Watkins for the second year in a row and we've had Son before for example. The invincible parallels look nice but serve no real purpose as they seem to be being found with relative ease.

The thing that bugs me the most with this is the binder. The one for 23/24 was the huge binder but this is half the size and only fits 270 single sided or 540 double sided. That means you cannot add the limited editions to the binder because by the time you get the star signings set next year the album is full. I don't know why they did this option, especially when prices went up.

Panini went cheap on us with a smaller binder. Quality is Shite to say the least. Last release and not very impressive.

Mine has holes/openings bottom of some pockets so the cards are sliding downwards towards the pocket underneath.

This is stuff Topps used to do 5-8 years ago. Very cheap quality binders with pages.

Card designs I touched upon earlier in this thread as well. Most are just boring & unimaginative

My Foden Golden Baller from the starter pack was damaged as well. Got on video as well on YT. Check the pic out from bottom side of his shirt to the shorts and left peg.
