Mistaken stickers

Hi,
everyone who collect football stickers is aware that Panini (and other editors I presume) have always some fails and edit from time to time wrong stickers : the Eder Balanta's sticker for WC 2014 is a perfect example. Could be funny and useful to collect these fails in this thread. Don't you think so ?

There was a Cluj guy in CL 2008/09 that happened the same as Balanta: Yssouf Kone.

Error is on the left, correct is on the right.

Yes on the left is Emmanuel Koné. He also played at CFR Cluj 1907 in the same time as Yssouf Kone.
Question : what is the thing with Balanta - i don't know ?

The update pack released by Panini for the WC 2014 contains a wrong Eder Balanta sticker.
Unfortunatly Panini got wrong and used the pic of Edwin Valencia. Panini edited a right sticker after that (some of us received it after having asked for it to Panini).

Difference about Kone and Balanta is that the right Kone also come out in regular boxes... That's what I remember.

This is the hugely rare update of the Troost sticker.
If you look in your Euro 88 album, your sticker probably looks nothing like this player.

from Panini Euro 2008; this is not a mistery at all, the real Golanski is the one on the left, and is still available at Panini. BUT after first printing (at least here in Italy), they printed the correct Golanski also for packets so now the wrong one is much more hard to find then "update"...

Road to Brasil 2014 had a variation of Tomás Rincón.
I´m not sure if one is the wrong or if 2 different fotos were used.
Both are printed in Modena, but paper quality is very different right one is thiker and the top is less shiny.

I never noticed that. I am going to look back at my collection and see if I have the 2 of these stickers

In the last Israeli collection of SuperGoal 14-15 there were many mistakes.

Evyatar Iluz (left sticker no24) is mistaken with Kobi Djani (pictured on right).




Ran Roll (on the right) is mistaken with Aviv Abraham (pictured on left)




And there were some typo mistakes like Omer Damari on some stickers was written as Omri Damari.
Elyaniv Barda who played for H'poel Beer Sheva was written with a different club under his name.

I have one on the left, my album is USA edition but stickers were printed in Italy as well. Sticker is number 237, first time I go to Panini I will check which version they have still available. Thanks for sharing this info!

How does one send in a request for the corrected sticker?

i just wrote a mail to panini and asked them for the right one, 4 days later i had it for free without sending the wrong one.

How are they with email requests? And must it be through their Italy HQ, or can I contact Panini North America (since it should get to me quicker that way)?

Contact the Panini of your own country, they'll redirect the request to a Panini HQ who has printed the corrected sticker... In your case, if you're from US, then I guess they'll deal themselves, unless they didn't print anything there.

I contacted Panini America for the Eder Balanta update sticker. I mentioned to them if they can send me the correct one and they said at this time we are not releasing a second sticker update nor have we made updates on individual stickers.

The real Rincon is the right sticker. The other player (left) is Miku Fedor. In the envelopes you find Fedor only but panini (almost local) send you the right one if you aks.

thanks @Mariano Arias for this information , to me both look very similar , even cause its a different view.
But now we know exactly.
