Living in the uk it is not possible for me to buy anything off this South American selling site. Does anyone know the identity of any buyers who can obtain things on my behalf or another solution?

There is one way... sometimes on eBay there are traders that buy on your behalf and ship to you. I’ve not bought before either but see one or two personal shopper supports for Mercadolibre. Worth a look if nothing else!

Edit: Google mercadolibre personal shopper and there’s someone in Argentina offering a service. I’ve never used it tbh.
