Kids Dream Spoiled at Wembley Play Off Finals

I dont know how many of you guys outside the UK will know about this (maybe all of you?) but i thought it would be great to share this story with you as it has a (slightly) happy ending...

During the Play-Offs held at the national stadium (Wembley) during the League One contest between Preston & Swindon, the match was effectively over with Preston leading 4-0 when they substituted their hero of the day, Jermaine Beckford after he scored a hat-trick. While on the bench he saw some kids begging him for his shirt so he kindly chucked it over to them and a scuffle ensued. After 30 seconds or so it looked like a little 8 year old supporter had got his dream and managed to get the shirt...however a woman was also hanging on to it.
As the tugging continued a skank with a grey tracksuit came over and ripped the little kids hands off the shirt allowing the women to carry it back to her seat and keep it.
Later that evening the shirt was placed on gumtree (similar to ebay) for sale for £1500...real supporter, I dont think so...

Anyway, Beckford heard of this incident and presented the youngster with a signed shirt (not as good of course but very nice gesture)...

Such a shame i didnt attend this game, it was a day early for me!! I was at the richest club game in world football (£120m+ to winner estimated) the Championship Play Off Final a day later where Norwich City easily overcame a poor Middlesbrough side by 2-0 at the same arena.

If I was Beckford, I would find the address of the woman, go there and demanded the shirt back, because the shirt was for the kids, not for some greedy adult... Also, as a bonus, a slap would be nicely applied, but that would bring unnecessary trouble.

Thanks for sharing this interesting story. I can not believe what people are prepared to do just to earn quick buck. Kudos to Beckford for his move though!

Isn't it obvious? To check 24/7 their magnificent stupidity... Something like Snow White's Queen: "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the dumbest of them all?"

the story went viral in England guys... hence how Beckford was made aware of it. As you can see by the picture with the clothes they are wearing, they are basically 2 adults both on benefits ie. no jobs both lazy just taking pay outs from the tax payers (confirmed during a discussion by the woman selling the shirt and a potential "buyer" who was basically telling her to give it back to the kid).
We have loads of people like this...the worst thing is, if you are supporter of a team like Preston, you are likely only to attend wembley stadium to see your team play once if your lucky...what a momento that wouldve been, his dad has already said, had the little lad got the shirt it wouldve been treasured rather than stuck up for sale.

That's horrible, I think if I was tugging the jersey against a kid I would let go. This lady is horrible.
