International Shipping

Hi everyone,
I think general is the best category for my issue since i have 2 questions (different but related).

First one, can anyone explain me how shipping works? Cause i've never bought anything (related to collections. Only those little almost meaningless things from China) from outside my country.
I was thinking of buying the Copa America 2019 and NBA 18/19 album (+set for both).

In Copa America's case, there was a guy (from Peru i think) "asking" for 40€ shipping. Is it normal? He put the product for sale for 20€ and i would be paying the double for shipping, its kinda ridiculous.

The others were asking 20/25€ and were from the US. But, i mean, i dont think i want to pay that amount of money for shipping, but i need to know first if its normal or the prices are indeed higher than they should be.
Everything on Ebay btw.

Second question. Bearing in mind what i've said, i was wondering if anyone knows some website/online store (apart from ebay and amazon) where i can find these albums + sets? Without those amounts of shipping (probably in Europe it is much lower because of distance? But i cant find it)

Hi. Welcome to the forums.

1st question:
Peru shipping does seem quite high, as their currency is worth less than a Euro or Dollar... however, it might have customs included (see below a note about customs).

The US price is actually decent, considering US has a expensive international shipping. What you want is between 1 to 2kg and let me tell you, in our country Portugal, sending to US is actually around 25€ (with tracking, not sure if those US sellers also have tracking for those sales).

About customs, you have to be aware that buying bulky items outside European Union will incur in customs fees (and they are not cheap). Most definitely two albums + sets will not pass the customs here and you have to pay VAT (IVA) + other handling customs fees.

2nd question:
My best advice is buying from Panini itself... Panini Portugal has the NBA set, seems a decent price to me.

Panini Portugal also has the CA sale, but price is much more expensive than that peruvian seller... but it's the hardcover album and you don't have to bother with shipping (it's free) and customs.

Thanks for your explanation. Now i understand a bit more of that. Basically, the prices for US are kinda normal and i should expect around 20/25€ when buying something from there, but the one from Peru is highter than average, which is something i had suspected. And i should always give priority to buy inside European Union rather than outside. Thanks!

Oh, and thanks for the second answer too. I thought that, because those 2 albums didnt get released in Portugal, Panini (on the portuguese website) wouldnt be selling them either, so i didnt even check. Just went straight to eBay and stuff. My bad :D

Glad I could help :)

Even if Panini doesn't release a collection in a country, later they add the full set for every Panini website. You can buy italian, french, spanish leagues for example. Many times you can find cheaper on ebay though, so it's always better to check there first.

Hi again,

Sorry if im bothering but i have an issue.
So the albums arrived today. And im "opening" and im seeing that im missing 7/8/9 stickers per team (in Copa America's case. I've not opened NBA yet so i dont know if its the same or not).
I mean, when i saw the "in case you have some stickers missing " paper at the first page of the album i thought "yeah i bet i'll have some missing". I just didnt know that it would be this amount of stickers.

Is it normal? Of course i will fill the paper with what im missing (and i wont have to pay) but who knows if they are sending me all the stickers i need this time?

Did you order it directly from Panini? if yes, just report them the problem, usually they fix it quickly
