Idea for a cards website

Hi everyone,

I've had this idea for a while and just wanted to hear some comments/input.

How cool would it be if there was a sports card website with a picture of every sports card ever produced? This would be a unique reference for collectors to see every card that has been produced and compare swatches on memorabilia cards. Would love for the focus to be on soccer but there is huge potential with all sports.

Can anyone please share on what it would take to run a website like this and some of the daily tasks of keeping one going?

I do not have experience in Web Design at all but I'm always open to learning more.

Nobody in the world wouldn't know the answer to how much work it takes. It takes a lot of work and even more passion.

If you are at the point where you are already thinking about how hard it can get, you should think twice before launching a website.
Its extremely difficult to manage everything.

Having a website does not have to require any work. Having a successor website requires a LOT of everything.

As for niche of the site if I was you I would start small withe the sport I know the best and have knowledge of. Think how much value can you provide to visitors instead how much visits you can get.

For a site like that I think you would have to hire someone to get it done.
