I’ve created a new sticker and card trading site – opinions wanted.

A quick bit of history: About five years ago my kids were trying to complete a superhero sticker album using swapstick and despite having a lot of swaps, it wasn’t very successful because they always found it really difficult to find matching swapping partners. That made me think of ways to fix the inherent problem that direct 1 for 1 swapping produces, and I came up with the idea of Stickerpoints.

Stickerpoints are like an in-site currency, when someone trades for one of your stickers you get given a stickerpoint from that user – with this stickerpoint you can then use it to trade for a different user’s sticker, this (hopefully)lubricates the whole trading process. To be honest, I couldn’t believe that nobody else had come up with the idea, so I decided to create the site.

I spent a long time procrastinating and finally, after four years I got off my ass and started coding the thing. That was just over eight months ago, and now it’s out of ‘beta’ and has healthy amount of active users – mostly from the US and UK.

I originally aimed the site at kids, and so I designed it with cartoon style theme - but as it turned out, most of the users are adults, but so what – it still looks nice IMO. Anyway, I’d like any constructive opinions from serious card/stickers on this site, and hopefully some advice on potential improvements.

Looks very good!!! As you said, looks very cartoonish, but as iniciative is incredible. I dont understand very well the stickerpoints stuff, but well, lets see how it work.

Maybe you can include a link/banner with the Sports album already categorized? Just because I collect sports stuff, haha.

Front Office - do you mean the home page?

Also I noticed I left a lot of countries off the list on the register page - including most from South East Europe (where a lot of people on this site come from), stupid of me.
Any way lot's more countries are added so you can take a look.

I mean the home page and all the other pages. I've noticed there are only new collections. Are you aware for old ones ?

I've asked users to request any collection, but so far people have just wanted new stuff.
Do you have any requests?

I don't have any special request but I realized it would be difficult to use your clever system with old albums. A sticker from WC 74 obviously don't worth only 1 sticker point...

That's true - I wanted to avoid the whole value thing, that's best for a different website.

I think your site is quite informative, but one point of criticism: The "1" and the "7" are looking quite similar. Maybe you can make those numbers somewhat more different.
