Hey guys,

I do tend to have everything organized on the forums, but I would like to hear your opinion on the forum structure.

What other sub-forums would you like to see here? Its planned to add buy/sell/trade subforums so that we can trade our stickers, cards and anything else hobby related.

How about adding non-sports and other sports (except football(soccer) sections?

Looking forward to your feedback.

@Pavle you could add on Football Stickers also COPA AMERICA, there are many collectors about it and with Chile 2015 will be a hot topic with albums at least of Panini and Navarrete

@Caniggia good idea! Added the subforum http://forums.cardzreview.com/forums/other-soccer-stickers/ which includes all other football stickers. I guess not many african cup and copa america collections are out there, or should I create separate subforums within other football stickers? If so, which one you suggest?
Maybe you could add a subforum "other international tournaments" like Africa Cup, Asian Cup etc. Anyway are fews, for the moment at least

forget my last suggestion, "other football stickers" is enough and can keep also Africa Cup :)

I agree with you guys. The "other football stickers" should be enough for these collections.

Since collecting stickers and cards is not only about football, I believe we should have subforums and categories for others sports and collections unrelated to sports such as movies and stuff.
Honestly non sports collections are much more informational and almost always better designed then sports one. I love them.

Any suggestion for these categories? I was thinking :
  • Other sports > Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, NFL, etc
  • Non Sports Collections > Movies, Series, Cartoons, Anime
Any other ideas? Should these be also differentiated in stickers and cards or they can all go to the same forum? Its a bit hard to tell now where there are not many members interested in non football stuff, but over the time, these sections will certainly be needed.

I'm not concerned by non football collections, but it could be cool to discover some great stuff.

can you have a think about splitting sticker sections between publishers - the newer dated collections could become messy if for example trying to post Topps and Panini World cup 2014 products in same section for example??

@Andy Splitting stickers via publishers is possible but would require around 30 subsections. Imagine this :
Stickers<Sports Stickers<Football Stickers<World Cup<Panini

I think people who collect stickers generally collect either WC stickers, or Champions League stuff, no matter the publishers. People who collect cards tend to brand collections. "I collect Adrenalyn XL cards". Nobody will say I collect Champions League cards produced by Panini which are called Adrenalyn XL. Since cards are more expensive people focus on brands more then its the case with stickers.

What I can try to do is create a prefix for each topic. So when you create a topic you can chose who published the collection, which can minimize subsections but each topic listed will have a colored label saying "Panini", "Topps", etc.

This above refers to showcase. Now if you have forum categories in mind - if members stick to the rule 1 collection 1 topic only, it would make more sense, it would reduce clutter and all the info can be found at one place.

I am sure that over the time as forum grows, I would have to reconsider creating more and more sections and subsections, but right now it makes sense to keep things as simple as possible. I know you were the admin on at least 2 large card forums, so you certainly know better than I do how things work on larger communities.

I vote for the colored label. It will help to consider the topics we are more concerned and avoid two many subsections.

I forgot to mention when you click on any of those labels (prefix) such as Panini it will filter and show only Panini stuff for example. I will leave these prefixes in the suggestion subforum for now, so that everyone can have a chance to play with them a bit and give their opinion on it.

Love the colour coded sections for different publishers...works perfectly. I agree dont want large amount of sub-sections either that also confuses things. a perfect balance...

Okay, so far it seams that these prefixes work.
Question is now which publishers should have prefix? Obivously only the most popular ones. Others can be simply listed as "others".

Prefix will be created for :
  • Panini
  • Topps
  • Futera
  • Other publishers
Should I add any other publishers? Obviously publishers will be different depending on the forum. For instance in "movies, series, etc" I will add some more known movie and cartoon publishers, but remove Futera, since they do not have movie related stuff.

I have added new subforums and categories for non sports cards and stickers. Forum is now a bit harder to view, so I am not sure if I should merge some of the caterogies.

Either merge soccer cards and soccer stickers with sports cards and sports sticker.
Or merge Soccer cards and stickers under one forum.
Or merge Sports cards and Non Sports Cards and Non Sports Stickers and non sports cards into one "Sports Cards and Stickers" and "Non Sports Cards and stickers"

Not sure what makes the most sense. If anyone has a suggestion, feel free to post it.
