Hello everyone,

I just wanted to make a topic on who's your favorite club and why?

My favorite club is Panathinaikos. My father is a hugh fan and i always watched the games with him as a child.
As I grew older I undertood more about clubs and I knew my blood is green! So I guess you can say I always liked them as a kid because of my father.

I think there can be only one club you can love and others you just support.
The club I love is my local team currently on the bottom of JSL (Serbian First League) is Radnički Niš.
Others clubs I like are those who play well and win. Teams like Chelsea, Real, etc. (Yup, I like the winners :D )

My avatar says it all: Sporting Lisbon, home of great young players and 2 Ballon D'Or: Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Outside Portugal, I support every team that has portuguese players, such as Real Madrid.

First of all i'm a crazy fan of national team ARGENTINA, since long time ago, i don't remember why but is like that

Beside that i'm a supporter of INTER and BOLOGNA, in basketball FORTITUDO BOLOGNA. I like also ATALANTA and TERNANA.

About other countries, i have just good feelings with some teams

England: Tottenham and Chelsea (in past beacuse of Gianluca Vialli, now for MOU!)
Scotland: Rangers
Spain: Barcelona in the past, now maybe Atletico Madrid for Simeone
Germany: FC Koln (was like that in the past, now i really don't know who)
France: St. Etienne (for their great supporters, i love them)
Bosnia: Sloboda Tuzla (because I lived there)
Argentina: for different reasons almost each team :)
Brasil: Palmeiras (because was team created by italians)
Uruguay: Penarol (same reason of Brasil)

etc etc

I hate Juventus and Real Madrid... by the way :p

Supported Inter when Mourinho (and Figo) was there and really enjoyed Inter winning the CL 2009/10... Still think that Sneijder should have won Ballon D'Or that year (or Iniesta, but never Messi).

From italian league, I liked Fiorentina in 1998 (mainly because Rui Costa and Batistuta) and Lazio in 2000 (their team was astonishing, I can't even write all the good players I liked, because they had so many!)... Then Inter in 2008 till 2010, because of Mourinho, and now I don't support any club.

I support Chelsea for almost 18 years since i was 10 y/o.
I started watching football and Premier league in particular after Euro 1996 which connected me to the England national team .
Then I fell in love with the Italian trio - Zola, Vialli and Di matteo , along with Gullit around them, Dan Petrescu and Denis Wise and from that point i remember myself as a Chelsea fan .

As you can see with my avatar, I forgot one of my beloved club here in Paris (I don't know why : I go to see about 10 matches a year) : Red Star FC.
This club of the near suburb of Paris is a myth. It has been founded 120 years ago by Jules Rimet, the first president of Fifa and the founder of the World Cup (the first trophy held by Brazil is named "Jules Rimet Cup").
The name has nothing to do with communism and was given by Rimet in tribute to his nanny who was English and used to travell to England with the "Red Star Line", a ship company.
The club is now playing in National division (third french division) but should climb to Second division at the end of the season.
The fans of Red Star are well known to be antiracists and with very good spirit (they never insult other fans and teams for example).

Hi. Nice topic. I love Barça of course....So, support clubs like Celtic Glasgow or St. Pauli. The best stadium and pubs i have fun is in Glasgow.I visited different times Celtic Park and is amazing, so much than Camp Nou. There are other 2 basket clubs (i love this game!) that i follow and i love it: Paok Thessaloniki (I lived there a year) and Golden State Warriors (I live 2 years in Oakland 15 years ago). Now after 3 decades we can see again the Warriors on top of the table!!!
Cannigia i visited Bologna in 90's when Barça played vs Fortitudo in Casalecchio di Reno. Great city Bologna!!!!
Anyway the best think is talk about sports and collecting with everybody with same or other ideas and enjoy with it!!!!

I love chelsea football club
When you start supporting a football club, you don’t support it because of the trophies, or a player, or history, you support it because you found yourself somewhere there; found a place where you belong.

Born & bred in Liverpool so the REDS are my team thanks to my 2 uncles and aunt. Mind you I could have been a Bluenose Evertonian if my other uncle & Aunt had their way. Thank fuck I didn't.

Families are divided in Liverpool. REDS & Blues. We hate each other on matchday but the love is still there after unlike other derbys like the Gooners/Spurs one that has a lot of hate in it or even the ever so relegious driven Celtic/Rangers one.

When I was kid Holland & Barcelona struck a cord with me. Orange was a striking colour for me and when you see Cruyff in action on the BBC or ITV you love it even more which lead me to Barca when Cruyff played for them. Still like both teams.
Saw Holland play in WC 74 when we took a trip to Nurnberg to visit my dad's cousin who had moved there & married a German lady.
They were awasome to watch but sadly lost the final to the Kaiser.

Another I have liked is B Dortmund. Since that CL final when they beat Juve(like them too, met many of their fans in 2005 when they came to Anfield in 2005 quarter final CL match, even exchanged shirts with them) 3/1.
Karl Heinz Riedle was a beast and I had the pleasure of meeting him when he joined Liverpool in 97/98. Ajax is another team I like since the 70's. Old C**t I am. :D

As a Scouser I hate ManURE & their fans with a passion and got no time for CHAVSKI a club with no history. I probably will make some enemies here but I don't give a toss. If it wasn't for the Russian's money they would still be in the 2nd division. Oh, and I hate Real Madrid and everything they stand for. A club supported by the Spanish government & a club based on fairweather fans.
Hope noone gets offended by my feelings, am sure there are Liverpool haters out there. :D

Oh, you're sparking some fires here for sure... Though nothing affects me personally, just to tease you a bit, I don't think you're in the right club now to make fun of MU or Chelsea... You're going to get always the same question: "How many league titles since 1990?"

But you're right, I saw some Liverpool hating here (well, more like making fun of them)... Go through the FIFA 365 sticker thread and somewhere you see how some people don't think Liverpool should be an extra team for the possible, but not likely, UK edition (I remember someone writing "middle table teams are allowed?")... Anyway, as long it's not just insults, I'm perfectly fine with the banter between supporters.

As for Real Madrid, they drew their match at home today, with Super-Kameni defending everything and Ronaldo missing incredibly clear opportunities... Not Real day.

Of course it's all good banter unless it's ManURE :D

True LFC have not won the title since 90 but we have had some good seasons winning the treble in 2001 under Houllier and of coure that great night in Istabul 2005 winning #5 but of course that is nowhere near as good for a big traditional club like LFC. Winning the odd cup is like a cherry on top but winning the league is what makes Champions.
Hopefully, Ancelotti or Klopp will bring us #19 home. I have no faith in Rodgers.

@dantzig you can say the same thing about S. Lisbon your team. A sleeping giant.

Yup, that's why I try not to mock so much those other two teams hehe... But still, 25 straight years for a team who had 18 titles at the time, it's too much... One of my football idols is Schmeichel, who came here and won us the title after 18 years... And Acosta, El Matador :D

And I like MU, great teams they had since 90's... My favourite one is the 2008 team, with that Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney trio... And supported Chelsea in 2004/05, what a team... You can see I'm a lion, but also a portuguese who support the portuguese around the world, even those who were not from the club I support... Yeah, even Meireles when he was in Liverpool spending some nice vacations :p
