Hello,

As some of you know this whole site we now know as CardzReview.com has been founded by me a little bit over a year ago.

In that period website transformed itself from just personal blog where I talked crappy things about my collection to a collectors community.

My mission is to share high quality stuff both on blog and forum and provide only the best experience to you guys. Although this is just a hobby to me, I do like to take things seriously in life, so everything has to be perfect or close to perfection.

Please share any additional ideas that you have specifically for blog, its features, articles you would like to see. In general, let me know how I can make my blog better.

Next week I will be working on redesigning the blog, so any idea wold be highly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

I don't have any better idea to make this blog better than it already is. You bring new fantastic stuff, functions, design and so on so quickly that it is very difficult to suggest you something new ! But I swear I will think it hard ;)

Thanks for kind words @Makhno!
My personal impression is that articles on the blog need to be organized a bit better. So its on my list, to make all articles easier to navigate.
Anything else that you or anyone else notice, feel free to let me know, if its doable, I would be happy to do it.

I am currently trying to find an inspiration for a blog post. So if you guys have a question that has been bothering you for a while and want it answered, maybe its a good time to ask it :)

Anyway, if you would like to read more about a particular upcoming collection or hobby guide in general, let me know.

Okay guys, its that time of the year again. After few months of not changing anything major on the main site, I would like to redesign it.
Please feel free to post suggestions here regarding design, categorization, etc.
Any feedback is highly appreciated and will help me improve the website for all of us.
Please note the changes will happen only on main site (blog) not on the forums.

I really like the current setup. Make sure you keep the "guides" section very visible, as that is what got me more involved, as it answered lots of questions.

Good idea, one thing I plan to do during the summer is create more guides. Hopefully with some help from others but also with ideas from members on what they would like to know more.
If you have any other ideas, feel free to post them.

I did have some ideas.

What about posts on collecting variations. I don't understand fully what the difference is between the different album versions and such.

Update sets. I only vaguely understand these. A post describing them, what to do with them collecting wise, would be helpful.

How to deal with albums the best. Tips for keeping albums as mint as possible when you are sticking in them. Aka does it increase value to leave the center order form, or the free stickers in the front and back? I don't know, so that could be another good post.

Little update. I have slightly changed the design of categories. Now all article will show in masonry and infinite scroll once you click category you wish.
Example here
Let me know if you guys have some suggestions.

Thanks guys, glad you like the site so far. As I always strive to excellence if you have any idea on what to improve, let me know. I guess main goal for this season is to grow the community and have more contributors and content that will help existing and new collectors both on forums and a blog.

Pavle,

You should post a PSA about adblockers. I don't know how much revenue the ads on this site generate, but hopefully they do a good job paying for the bandwidth.

With the new iPhone features that allow Adblock, you should make a quick PSA to encourage people to add this site to Adblock whitelists so you can still get those ad monies.

It's a very easy way for us as forum people to support the site without needing to even donate.

I will consider this in future, as forum grows, currently it makes no sense to do it, as it barely makes 0.40-1$ per day, so even if I spend time figuring out how to do it, it would be 1.10$, which is low anyway, and barely pays for hosting, let alone forum software :)
I am more concerned about improving other things rather then monetarization of the site to be honest, its not something I think about.

I have seen from another blog that if you use ebay's add and forum members buy items using the link from our website , then it will give good results .

The other forum administrator was saying that he was able to cover the hosting for a few months with that and if it goes well then it will help in the long term .
