We have to fill this section too! :p

I'm a fan of these birds and did some collections from them, all from Giromax (former E-Max, based in Barcelona, Spain).... More details below.

Angry Birds

  • 180 cards:
    • 160 Base Cards;
    • 16 silver cards (1 per 2 packets);
    • 4 gold cards (1 per 36 packets);
  • Packet: 1€ (RRP);
  • 6 cards per packet;
  • 36 packets per box;
  • Starter pack (Binder + 1 packet or Binder + 4 packets + Gold Card)
A fun collection to do, released in many countries where Giromax has market (UK, Spain, Portugal). Card quality is not high and it's arguable if price is really worth it. Another problem would be the outrageous ratio for getting a gold card. Nonetheless, it was a fun collection to do and I ended up only with some cards, as swaps were easy to find.

Angry Birds Space

  • 180 cards:
    • 144 Base Cards
    • 16 Holographic Cards
    • 16 Silver Cards (1 per 2 packets)
    • 4 Gold Cards (1 per 36 packets)
  • Packet: 1€ (RRP);
  • 6 cards per packet;
  • 36 packets per box;
  • Starter pack (Binder + 3 packets + Gold Card).
Unlike the first collection, this collection was only released in a couple of countries, such as UK and Spain. Also, after doing this collection, I found out how hard it was to get the silver, holographic and even some base cards. Sadly, Giromax lies about silver cards ratio, because after buying cards from three different sources, including from Giromax itself (buying online), I got 1 silver card per 5 packets, in average. Holographic cards are basically the same, though there's no proof about their ratio.

Also, because this was not released in the country I live, it's really hard to find any swap at all, even when searching online in those swap websites.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Angry Birds GO!

  • 180 cards:
    • 128 Base Cards;
    • 16 Holographic Cards;
    • 32 Silver Cards;
    • 4 Gold Cards;
  • Packet: 1€ (RRP);
  • 6 cards per packet;
  • 36 packets per box;
  • Starter pack (Binder + 4 packets + Gold Card).
Released again only in a couple of countries and the difference for the others are the special cards: more silver cards and all special cards spread in the collection, instead being all at the end.

Sadly, after buying many packets from Giromax website, I've had some problems with them... To know more, please read posts after this (don't worry, it had a happy ending).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are also stickers and "clay buddies" from these 3 collections, but it's out of this thread's scope.

Well, that's it... Feel free to comment or share some more info to be added.

This is very nice idea. For some reason I do not see images. I guess you added them via third party website.
I hate angry birds, because they always make me smash my tablet :D My girlfriend and nephew are huge fans.
It would be awesome to see more collections like this on the forums.

Images are from Giromax website... Maybe it has some filter to countries where they don't sell?@Pavle, try to access Giromax website and let me know if you can see it.

This is the only non-football card collection I've done, so I can't help expand this section with more collections... Maybe some Invizimals or Frozen fan.

Anyway, your girlfriend and nephew have better taste than you :p

I have no taste at all :p
I have some non football collections here and there, maybe we can include Frozen articles as an essential part of our blog :D
What I love is the vintage albums from the 70s. They are much much better then any other football album from that period, will try to add some info next week.

Ok, Wednesday I took advantage of some promotions in Giromax website to buy 54 sealed packets from Angry Birds GO! (trading cards) + binder... They're quick to send, because I've received the package yesterday, Friday (less than two days after the purchase) and they've sent 5 more packets, so 59 packets... Good guys, right? Ahahah...... No.

Today I've opened those 59 packets... After the Angry Birds Space experience (described in the first post), I was already expecting those metallic cards to be more rare... Giromax managed to surprise me again, for the worse, of course.

59 packets = 354 cards... Collection has 180 cards, so after opening everything, I got 119 different cards... So, basically, I got only 2/3 of the cards, even buying 2x more (119 in 354)... But is this the worse? No.

There are 32 metallic cards... In 59 packets, I got only 5 cards, 3 different... Between 90 and 108, all cards are metallic and I got 0! Yes, it's zero, nada, niente, na pas, nein, zero fuckin' nil!

Anyway, I want some advices on what to do... After the first experience with Space, I complained with Giromax and they didn't care... Gave them a second chance (yes, I'm dumb, I shouldn't have) and I've sent them a new message now, calling them thiefs, but I want also everyone to know they steal people!

I'e checked a spanish trading site, to check the most requested cards... Surprisingly (or not), those cards between 90-108 are only some of them... Check a couple of videos and all of them have people getting those metallic cards... So, me missing all of them was clearly a manipulation inside Giromax.

One day, I'll write an article to expose all these blatant manipulations... This business still needs a lot of "purging".

You can always threaten them that you will call a police or an FBI :p

Well seriously now - Wow, that's terrible! Is it possible the reason the packs were on sale is some sort of pattern they discovered and hidden ones with shiny cards?

Yeah, I'll threaten them that I'll go to Barcelona with my baseball bat and wreck all their machines... Spitting and farting on the employee(s) who done this shit is also in my plans.

Maybe they found, I don't know... I check some youtube videos from people who bought starter packs and loose packets, and all of them had one shiny from those 90-108 cards... But they have probably bought with the RRP, in some public store... Yeah, Giromax doesn't like people buying from promotions, even though they're the ones who makes them, along with promotion codes.

My guess is that they didn't even need to manipulate, they could very well printed a batch without any metallic card, and the five I still got were from another batch... If they do the same as Panini when they're packing the stickers, it's easy to leave aside the metallic cards.

Ok, so after a very angry email I sent to Giromax, they answered apologizing for the "mistake", because the packets I received were not to be sent, they were just for testing and so it didn't have much special cards... I don't now if I should believe it, but they offered to send the cards I still missed, with no additional cost to me, of course.

So today (yesterday, Wedenesday), I've received all the cards I missed, no errors (their customer service for missing stickers/cards orders is quite good, never missed a single sticker/card)... Happy customer now, but if I buy again, I'll be much less tolerant for any "mistake".
